About Walnut Creek Caskets

In 1918, with an investment of $3,500, an old chicken house belonging to his father, and a big desire to become a furniture maker, eighteen year old Sam P. Schrock began Schrocks of Walnut Creek. Since that time, Sam's business has branched off to include not only furniture, but custom cabinetry under the Schrocks of Walnut Creek name. Other Schrock companies include Hiland Wood Products, makers of Custom Molding and Cabinet Doors, and Walnut Creek Caskets, makers of fine solid wood caskets. Today, we are a privately held corporation owned and operated by Sam's son, Ivan, and his grandson, Bryan. We operate two manufacturing facilities and employ 80 skilled craftsmen and workers. All three of the Schrock businesses are located in the heart of Amish Country of Ohio, just 75 miles southwest of Cleveland.

Our heritage is woodworking, not only for the Schrocks family, but for our many skilled craftsmen who put forth the extra effort to make our products not only uniquely beautiful, but functional as well. At Walnut Creek Caskets, we manufacture caskets of the finest quality for families to create a lasting memory in honor of their loved ones.
